Ok, guess we can't have the same RSL team that showed up last week back for this one.  What the hell was that in the first half?  The way we played, we deserved to lose 8-0.  Yes the 2nd half was better, but still nothing I would call good football.  TFC is not a good team, but RSL decided not to even show up for the first half.  There is not an excuse for not even getting a shot in the first half.  That was just horrible.  Where Sturgis looked good last week and was a real difference maker, this week, before he left the game due to injury, he looked terrible.  Talley came in and played well, especially in the second half.

Ian Joy and Robbie Findley had a howlers of a game.  Why can't our whole team collectively have a good game for once?   Findley is a good answer off the bench in the closing minutes of a game, but again, as I have said, as a one-trick pony, he was exposed.  His first touch was simply awful.  I think Movsisyan would have been a much better choice than Findley to start, especially with Deuchar.  With Deuchar, we really need to get him service.  What good does it do to have a guy like that if you never get him the ball in a position where he can be successful with it?

What I think bothers me the most is what Kreis said after, taking the blame for the team not coming out and sticking it to TFC.  Why would you ever not come out to play?  You would think that the idea that you can get a result, with this team no less, by simply bunkering up and packing it in would have been well and truly dead by now.  Why would you ever NOT play for the win?  Yes a draw on the road is acceptable in a hard fought match, but still, it should never be the entire OBJECTIVE of the match.  There are not such things as moral victories, RSL played like shit the first half and did not deserve to win.

Now, can we come out against DC United like we did last week at RFK?  If we bunker on the road, I don't think I can handle that any more.  RSL is not a team that can effectively bunker, we've already established that, so why do we keep doing the same thing?  Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing repeatedly but expecting a different result every time?
