Why is Talley starting?  So far this season he's had two absolute howlers.  How many times did he give away the ball in midfield and how many of those give aways lead to counters by Chivas?  That's the biggest issue so far this season, counter attacks.  We are first, giving up way too many, and second, we are not getting back in any sort of order to defend against them.  A lot of this is due to losing the ball in the midfield, and yes Mr. Talley, I'm talking about you.  If you want to play a short passing, possession style, you have to maintain possession with the midfield.  Usually this will flow from the back line to the defensive midfield to the attacking midfield to the forwards.  Right now our d-mid is not keeping possession and it's killing us.

It was great to see Doctor Goal get his first in an RSL kit.  That guy will be fun to watch, I will not be surprised to see him, provided we get good service to him, win the golden boot this season.

Also, as I've said before, Atiba Harris' problems are mostly things that can be coached.  This is something he never received at RSL.  It truly saddened me to see both him and Esky score against us.  Of anyone, those two hurt.

Ideally, I would sit Talley, move Beckerman to d-mid where he truly belongs, and put Sturgis or Williams in at right mid.  Talley either needs to start playing like 2006 or he needs to get off the pitch.  I like the guy, but this is a professional team where results are demanded and so far he has not played up to scratch and has become a liability on the pitch.

In other news, looks like Seattle did the right thing and are going to be Seattle Sounders FC.  At least one ownership group pays attention to the fans.
