preseason continues

First, it looks like our trialist Indra Sahdan Daud has been cut. Really this isn't a big surprise me. He didn't really distinguish himself, from what I gather, he would have been a spot starter, maybe a super sub type player. To match the money he is making in Singapore but to have him on the reserve pitch makes little sense. Not to mention having him take up an international spot, not really something you want to waste on a reserve player. I think it turned out for the best for everyone. Yeah it's unfortunate that we had to turn down someone of his quality, but it's also positive that we could turn someone of his quality down. While it would have been nice for the exposure in Asia, the details just didn't quite work.
The second big news is the big tailgate that seems to be in the works for the opener. From the looks of it, it will be open to everyone and not just a Loyalist or RCB thing. This I truly hope will turn into a great thing. My only concern is that the Front Office is now involved, so hopefully it does not turn out as yet another of their half-assed, half-baked, underplanned events. I really hope they take this seriously and turn it into something great that will become a tradition for all RSL fans.
Finally, I want to announce that my friend Colin has started his own supporter's group. If it turns out how I hope it does it will be great. I really like his idea of not charging any dues, everyone is welcome. I wish him the best of luck with it all. Knowing Colin and his energy, I think he can get this done and turn it into something great. Long live the Frank Castle Brigade, go Punishers!
