why RSL drives me crazy

I have been thinking long and hard about my opinion of Garth so far as a GM and still can't draw many conclusions. I want to believe he is a good guy, but sometimes I can't help but wonder. He seems like one of those people in high school (and sometimes outside) who would say one thing to your face and something completely different behind your back. I am of course referring to the treatment of Jamie Watson. His quotes in the Trib the other day just seem so nice, talking about doing right by Jamie. Then you learn how Jamie was "graduated" from the Generation Adidas program at the urging of the organization. That coupled with the timing of his release (after the draft) seem more to indicate that RSL didn't ever have any intention of giving him a fair shot in camp of making the team but were just waiting to see if Dallas or someone would offer them something of value like a draft pick for him. If you have no intention of keeping him, why, after his GA graduation, did you publicly say he would have a shot to make the team? Was it because Dallas was showing some interest in him and you were hoping to get a draft pick out of Dallas? Isn't that what negotiations are about? You ask Dallas if they have an offer for him, if they don't give him a shot.
With Steve Pastorino, while he may not have been the best soccer guy, he would never outright lie to you. He always dealt straight with everyone. Garth I don't think we can say that about. I don't think he's the best soccer guy and from my experience with him and his dealings I don't think I can really say he is honest. I don't have any specific examples, it's just my impression.
I think Garth is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the FO. I know I'm now on like my third or fourth ticket rep. So far nobody can really asnwer my questions about the new stadium. I really don't want to pay for a premium bleacher seat at RES only to be relegated to behind the goal in the new stadium. Nobody yet has been able to tell me anything certain about where RCB is going to be in the new stadium other than a vague reference to somewhere behind the goal. Even that isn't very definitive. I won't make the mistake of others in RCB and believe that the team owes us anything; the only thing they owe us is the same thing they owe anyone who buys a ticket, entrance to the stadium and a place to sit in that stadium and an attempt to entertain us. They do however owe us equal value for the tickets we buy. Why should we shell out over $400 for premium bleacher seats only to be moved to worse seats behind the goal. I doubt that any refund will be given. In fact, from rumors I hear, I doubt any refund will be due as the ticket prices for the cheap seats will be the same as for premium bleacher seats at RES. Nobody has any clue about the pricing structure in the stadium, or if they do, they sure aren't telling anyone. I find this funny as they have drawings and plans that show down to individual seats what will be available. I really don't think they could possibly be as unorganized as to not know yet what ticket pricing will be. Which leads me to believe they don't for some reason want to go public about it. That to me says that the news will not be good and that tickets will be significantly more expensive than they are right now.
I am very concerned with this guy from Trinidad and Tobago that has been linked with RSL. I am very skeptical of a big fish in a small pond. I love watching the Caribbean Cup, but I would bet that I could score on those keepers. The football is fun to watch, but it certainly isn't even MLS quality. I would wager that most PDL teams could compete in T&T. I doubt that even the best player in the PDL would be very competitive in MLS (not to say there aren't some good players in PDL, but it isn't MLS).
I can't wait to see what we parade out on the pitch. I think it will be telling to see what sort of players we have out there. I am very concerned that we seem to be short on forwards, but we'll see if something turns up. Right now I think we only really have Movsisyan and Findley and that just won't cut it, especially if one goes down injured. We seem to have a whole team of 5'6" midfielders. That concerns me as well. Maybe this will be the first year we get a back line who is good as a unit instead of having one great player (Pope) and a bunch of garbage. I hope for Nick Rimando's sake that's true. Nick deserves much better than to have to play out of his head every game just so the team has a minimal chance to do anything.
