Thoughts on the players

I posted this on Bigsoccer.com but thought I would post it here as well. For the whole thread there, here's a
link.My methodolgy here is that with the young guys, what sort of upside potential do they have and is it worth keeping and with the veterans, what do they bring to the table.
Kyle Beckerman-
No Brainer here
Nikolas Besagno-
When do we cut our losses on this one?
Chris Brown-
I
wish I could make over $80,000 a year to jog around the pitch. It's a
good indicator of our season that Chris Brown is tied for being our
leading scorer.
Kyle Brown-
Thought he showed some good potential. As a Dev player, worth keeping. Much better than the other Brown.
Steven Curfman-
Never got to see him play really
Kenny Cutler-
What's the extent of his injury?
Alecko Eskandarian-
I
love Esky, but as a forward, he only scored on PKs, which really isn't
acceptible, but worth keeping because that is a postition we have to be
deep in and he's much better than most of the other choices.
Fabian Espindola-
I noticed last night for the last 15 minutes, he was the only one still giving an effort.
Robbie Findley-
How he ended up in Kreis' doghouse for so many matches I don't understand. Should start up top with Movsisyan.
Willis Forko-
Another who ended up in the doghouse for no good reason.
Atiba Harris-
I
love Atiba too, I really want him on the team. Terrible first touch,
but honestly no worse than C. Brown's but look who keeps starting.
Makes matches much more entertaining and is a great guy to talk to.
Duke Hashimoto-
Shouldn't be on the protected roster, but the kid has heart and plays tough, worth a dev spot.
Christian Jimenez-
another probably not worth protecting and worth keeping if he retains his Generation Adidas status.
Jean-Martial Kipre-
Can't coach speed. Hopefully he can learn positioning.
Dustin Kirby-
Thought he looked ok last night in general, but needs more seasoning. Worth the dev spot.
Ritchie Kotschau-
On the wrong side of 30 and still not more than a good sub, probably not worth protecting.
Chris Lancos-
I have 6 year olds on my team who can mark better. Nice guy but a major liability in defense.
Matias Mantilla-
Yes, need I say more?
Javier Morales-
Not sure if he's the answer at A-mid, but probably worth a shot. Not much to go on as to his ability.
Yura Movsisyan-
I really like this guy, I think he's the back to the goal target man we've been looking for.
Eddie Pope-We're so screwed in back now. Any way we can convince him to come back for 1 more season?
Kyle Reynish-
good 3rd keeper, no reason to get rid of him.
Nick Rimando-
I
can't bear to think how painful this season would have been without
Rimando between the pipes. This is one of the biggest no-brainers on
the list.
Chris Seitz-
Again, a no-brainer here.
Jack Stewart-
Already gone, but still on the roster at the official website.
Nathan Sturgis-
Hope he recovers well but there will be that question until proven otherwise, but he's one of the better young players we have.
Carey Talley-
Not
sure he's going to come back. He's another on the wrong side of 30, but
would be useful for depth, better option than most of the others.
Jamie Watson-
A
lot of teenage s will be upset if he's no long with the team. That
said, he's about 5th on the depth chart in the forward position. I did
like him playing midfield, but even there, he's a bit down in the depth
chart.
Andy Williams-
Good things always seem to happen when Andy's on the pitch. Not a long-term solution though.
Chris Wingert-
I love his crosses, he's one of the best on the team for that. Best right back we have right now.
