I had class on Wednesday night so completely missed the match.  Watching on the Tivo, I don't get where you get the term "moral victory."  Yes they played hard, but if it's a moral victory to play hard, how many matches have we had that there wasn't even that going for us?  This is my complaint, that RSL doesn't play to potential.  The effort hasn't been there through most of the season.  The bad part is, those two goals were both scored because certain people on the back line weren't playing like they should.  How many times has RSL mailed it in this year and how many times have there been a full team 100% 90 minute effort this year.  My answer is we have yet to see it.  Moral victories don't get you into the playoffs.  This seems harsh, but when you look at it, the players are supposed to be professionals.  If they don't want the criticism, don't take the paycheck.  That said, this was an improvement, sad as it is to say that.  Waht's really sad is that the U-6 girls team I coach seems to enjoy playing more than RSL sometimes.

Now for Toronto.  The news is, Jeff Cunningham will be at least on the bench for Toronto.  How bad would it be that not only does Toronto break their scoring draught against us, but that they actually beat us?  They did win at RES on the 4th.  I don't know what to think of this match, I want to say it's one we can win, but I've had my hopes dashed way too many times this year.
