Galaxy-Beckham

Even with David Beckham, the Galaxy are truly a bad team. Worse than RSL. Other than Landon Donovan, they didn't have much in the way of supporting talent even before Beckham came in. What talent they did have, they had to shed i order to have enough cap space for Beckham, which is how RSL ended up with Findley and Sturgis for Klein. Klein has been playing great with LA, honestly better than I think he did with RSL. Maybe he finally pulled his shorts out of his crack. You could really tell that all these games LA has been playing recently are taking their toll. It's pretty unfair for the team that because MLS wanted to bring their new show pony everywhere with Beckham that LA had most of their games loaded to the end of the season.
In the first half, the one thing that really stuck out was how big of a waste Chris Brown is. I don't think his name was called more than two or three times in the 58 minutes he played. And the few times he did get his name called, it was because he lost the ball and had allowed LA yet another counter attack. Brown would be lucky to start for a PDL team. I would start Atiba the Hun over him as a striker, at least with him, even though the first touch is as bad as Brown's, he's probably going to take someone out and will totally beat up some defenders. Why Findley didn't start, I don't understand. I guess if he has a bad game, he sits, but since Brown always sucks and so it's not an obvious drop off with him, he gets the start. Call me crazy, but I thought you started your best players.
There was an obvious pick up for RSL when Findley did come in. That's when the game turned. Findley is a credible scoring threat. Brown is not. It was great to see Eddie Pope get a goal too. Rimando yet again saved our collective asses. I especially loved his absolutel stoning of Princess Landy on the PK. That's two in a row that Landycakes has missed. That has to make Bob Bradley think twice about who takes PKs for the nats. Kipre did not have a good game and Kotschau was only slightly better. I like Matilla, he doesn't back down from anyone.
I have co MOTMs for this match, Rimando and Findley.
One last thing, congratulations to Chris Seitz for getting capped for the first time with the full national team.
