LA vs. RSL

I have to admit that I didn't really have much of a desire to watch this one. I only caught the last half hour or so, I was more concerned with doing things with my family (apathy finally sets in I guess). I saw Cobi Jones score and saw RSL score on their first corner kick since their home opener two years ago (I think, they may have got one other somewhere in there, but I can't remember it if it happened). Isn't it sort of scary that the leading scorer on the team is Chris Brown? Not to say I don't like Brownie, but who would have ever thought that he would have more goals than Esky, Adu or Ballouchy? I like his desire and work ethic. Obviously he's been putting in the practice time. Wish we could say that for the rest of the team. In what I watched, they were dragging ass and hardly playing. They seem to have pretty much given up on the season.
My only real hope now is that they do not win a game all year and completely tank the rest of the season. What more do we have to play for than to be the first team in MLS history to not win a game. My main hope is that with a collapse like this, that Dave Checketts would be forced to completely rework not only the team, but the front office. I would hope that he would bring in someone who actually cares about more than selling tickets and Disneyfying the soccer experience to some "family-friendly" soulless shell of an "entertainment" business. Disneyland sucks because after the age of 8, you realize that it's not the real Goofy, but a kid in a costume and that every ride exits through the giftshop.
Thank God I get to look forward to seeing Boca and Everton come. If the FO thinks RCB is a problem, I can't wait until they meet the Boca fans. There is a reason there is a 20 foot high fence with razor wire at the top surrounding the pitch at their stadium.
