Party?

Sorry for not being as prompt in a response as some would like, just
when I went to post something, my computer crashed and I've only just
been able to revive it. Anyway, yes Ellinger is no longer the head
coach (now what am I going to do?) but he's still around and I'm not
sure what his capacity will really be. Technical director sounds like
he's still going to be somewhere around the pitch, which could be
scary. Regardless, I'm actually excited to see what happens with Jason
at the helm.
I agree with his thoughts that the team has the talent to compete. I
agree that motivation was a big problem. I am also excited that
hopefully now our subsititutions won't be guided by a Ouija board
(John, you really needed to channel a better spirit for help). But I
am going to reserve judgement until I see what happens on the pitch in
the weeks to come. Best of luck Jason, I'll still be at the matches,
still be wearing my kilt and banging my cowbell, but I don't think I
can handle frustration at not being successful when the pieces are in
place for very long. I know I can last to the end of the month barring
another 6-0 debacle to the Team Named After Toxic Waste In A Can. I
also think that right now, about the only piece missing is some time
away from the off-field drama. The stadium mess, the soccer complex
mess, the shakeup in the FO, all of these things have taken the focus
of about everyone away from the pitch. Here's to some calm!
